Recommendations
Following an invitation of the German Society for Hospital Hygiene (DGKH) to all IFIC members from Europe a meeting took place at the beginning of 2008 in Berlin with the idea to start an European Network to promote infection prevention for patient safety.
After the presentation of available documents from Germany the participants regretted that the documents are only available in German. For that reason the DGKH decided to translate the recommendations into English.
Here you will find the recommendations from the Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and a recommendation from the working group “Hygiene in Outpatient and Inpatient Nursing” section in English and German.
